Just before dropping him off to school, Goosh reaches over and holds his dad’s face in both hands, looks him in the eye and says in the exact same tone his dad uses with him: Baba, baby school nahi jana. School no go. Baby opheesh jayega. Baba ke saath office jaana hai.
HD is putting on his shoes, getting ready to leave. Goosh runs up to the door all excited and tries to open it:
Goosh: Chalo, Baba, chalo.. let’s go.
HD: Kahan baby? Kahan chalna hai?
Goosh: Cheeti ko dishum dishum karne. Neeche jaana hai.
We just got pest control done a few hours ago. And now there’s a dead roach in the living room. Goosh’s reaction – he wants to play with it! Yah. Here’s the conversation with HD:
Goosh: cockroach chahiye. Baby ko cockroach chahiye.
HD: Nahi beta. wo cockroach accha nahi hai.
Goosh stares at the roach in serious thought for a minute.
Goosh: cockroach dawai khaya. dhoolum ho gaya. [cockroach ate the medicine and fell down]
I’m wondering how he got that. He wasnt here when the pest control guys came home.
HD: Haan baby. dawai wala cockroach ke saath nahi khelte.
Goosh: naheee. mujhe cockroach chahiye.
HD: accha, doosra wala cockroach ke saath khelenge.
Goosh: Orange wala?
HD: haan baby, orange wala cockroach.
Goosh: Purple cockroach?
HD: nahi purple cockroach nahi hota hai
HD: Ummm, red cockroach.. kabhi kabhi. jab usko gussa aata hai.
HD: er…jab uska tummy upset hota hai.
