The Little One is growing up quite fast. And I already feel that its too fast.
Now he can hold his back straight and head steady. When I hold him to my shoulder, he pushes back confdently, holds his head up and looks around. Earlier the only word he spoke was ‘agoo’. Now, he hardly says that. Instead he’s got quite a reportoire of agee, aah, ooh etc. When I place a toy infront of him, he takes aim and bats at hit with his hand. He also tries clasping his fingers around it. And he’s outgrowing his clothes real fast. This full body suit that we got him was too big for him earlier – and now, its already too small. He’s worn it for barely 2 hours. All his other clothes are shrinking fast – yes the very same ones that used to hang loose and we thought would hold 2 of him!
I got him this bright yellow smiley shaped ‘gullak’ (piggy bank) and he loves it! He ‘held on tight’ as soon as i gave it to him and refused to let go. He cooed away happily! I think he loves money 😉 And hopefully he’s understood all Udayan Mukherjee’s investment lessons I watched when he was in my tummy 🙂
Junior had his first play date today. With Maya ‘memsaheb’. The little rag doll his Nanu got him 🙂
We sat her down next to him. He looked at her a minute, then burst out in coos and gagas. He was thrilled to meet someone his own size. He talked with her like there was no tomorrow. Nani, Nana and Mommy took turns to speak for Maya 😉
Junior hasnt yet mastered reaching out for objects. But he did manage to knock over Maya a few times. A few times he grabbed her hat and pulled her over. And a few times, he also tried eating her hat 🙂 He kept on cooing to her for ever so long.. and then fell asleep talking to her.
We tried to see if he had a thing for Maya.. I kept his teddy next to him. But the LO [Little One] paid no attention. When Maya was kept near him – oh my god.. he talked to her non stop!
25 th Jan: Rinku bhaiya got a set of toys for the LO – with his first pay in Indore. 🙂
We took the LO out on his first social visit. Till now it had only been temples – well 2 temples. It is little Aryan’s first birthday. I wondered how the LO would react – but he quite enjoyed it. All the way there he kept staring fiercly out of the window. Soaking up all the new sights, every little detail. You could see the wonder and amazement in his eyes. Once there.. for a good 10 minutes, I kinda lost track of where my baby was. Everyone wanted to hold him! Esp chachi. She just wouldnt give him back 😉 [See Juno – how much everyone loves you.] We had our first family dance – Junior, Hubby dearest and I rocked (oh yeah!) the dance floor to ‘Mauja hi mauja’.. The music was quite loud and after a while the LO got restless and we took turns taking him outside in the fresh air.
26th Jan: Seeing how much Juno loved his first outing, we took him out again. To meet his Mom’s Dada-Dadi. And ofcourse, his Nani had to re-route us to a temple – how can Juno have an outing without going to the temple! 🙂 She’s turning him into a pucca Jaini. My grandparents were so kicked to see the LO. Dadaji can barely walk now. But when Junior was born, he made it a point to come to the hospital and see Junior – in a wheelchair. Sadly, I forgot to take the camera and dont have any pics. When we came back home, there were more people queued up to meet the LO! He’s become quite a celebrity!!! And ooh, how he played with everyone! He has a knack for pleasing people 😉 He’s on his best behaviour when anyone visits.
